Nolan Walks a mile (well not quite)

Nolan has decided to give walking a try. He has been walking now for awhile, but just a few steps here and there. However, today he has been walking all over the place. His record has been about 25 consecutive steps. I think he has realized that walking just might be more fun than crawling. Check out his walking video below:

Nolan's first scrapbook is Complete!

I finished Nolan's first scrapbook today. It contains birth-11mts. of age. I actually teared up a bit when I placed the last two pages into the book. I loved how the book turned out. I have already started on his new book.

stair climber

I went over to my parents today to have some pictures printed off. Well we were downstairs and Nolan decided that he wanted to go upstairs to see G-Ma Hon. He climbed the stairs all by himself. I was standing behind him just in case he lost his balance.

Seeing Red with Wal-Mart Phot Lab!!!!

I went to Wal-mart today to pick up the St. Patrick pictures that I had taken of Nolan. The Photo lab person would not let me have my pictures. She said that they looked professional and that they are not allowed to give out professional pictures that you want printed out due to copy right laws.I had to ask to see the manager and convince her that I had taken these pictures with my own camera. Thankful y in one picture you could still see part of my mother's blue couch which finally convinced the manager that I had taken them. I guess using photo shop program and cropping helped enhance the pictures.... So beware of printing off pictures that you take that look too good too believe that you actually took them. That won't stop me from taking more or using wal-mart.

St Patrick was a BAPTIST!

So I bought all this St Patrick stuff for Nolan's pictures and Gail saw it and the first thing he says is you know St. Patrick was really a Baptist! My first reaction was HUH? Then he told me to Google it and sure enough there are several articles about this. The one below is pretty good. I just pasted some of it click on the link for the rest.

For centuries Roman Catholicism has laid claim to the supposition that Patrick of Ireland was a Roman priest. However, over 100 hundred years ago W. A. Jarrel, much respected author and church historian, put into print what had been known by Baptists since the very beginning, that Patrick was not a Catholic priest, but rather a Baptist missionary. It is because of this much neglected fact that we put into print this material so that this present generation may know the truth and great heritage of this early Baptist missionary to Ireland. So zealous were these historians of the 1800's and so spirited was their conviction to this that one wrote, "Rome's most audacious theft was when she seized bodily the Apostle Peter and made him the putative head and founder of her system; but next to that brazen act stands her effrontery when she 'annexed' the great missionary preacher of Ireland and enrolled him among her saints" (A Short History of the Baptists [1907], Henry C. Vedder, pg. 71-72).

St. Patrick's Day!

Here I go again dressing my boy up. I thought it would be cute to dress him up for St. Patrick's day. I have some Irish in me, so does my boy. So "Top of the Morning to you all!" I don't know which one I will use for his scrapbook. I Know I will use more than one. Let me know which one you all like.

More St. Patrick Pictures

Here are some more pictures. The middle 3 are very similar. I am really having a hard time decided which one of the middle 3 is the best of him. I think right now I am favoring the first one of the 3. Check out the video too. We were all laughing which was making him laugh. I think it is so cute that he just held onto his hat that way for about 5 minutes straight. Made it easier to take a lot of quick shots.

New Outfit

Grandma Terrell bought Nolan this outfit for his b-day. It looks so cute on him! Thanks G-ma T

Fever!

Well around 2:00 yesterday Nolan started to feel pretty hot. I undressed him down to his t-shirt and all he wanted me to do was hold him. He ended up falling asleep and took a very long nap. He usually does not take long naps. I am grateful if I get an hour of peace. However, he slept from 2:40 pm-5:10 pm. He was also running a fever the rest of the night from 100-103 degrees. He is a bit on the cranky side but is still acting pretty much like himself. I think it is due to teething, but we are taking him to the doctors today at 11:30 because his temp. was 105 when he woke up. I just want to be cautious. Well I smell a stinky diaper so I must go and change it. I will update the little man's progress later.

Update:
Well I took Nolan to the doctor's office. As we were waiting in the office I noticed that another tooth has broke the skin. It is his bottom right tooth. So now he has a lot of teeth trying to come in all over. Last month he ran a fever for 3 days until a tooth appeared. The doctor informed us that his ears, lungs and color look good. He probably has a viral infection which is causing him to have a fever. She also said it could be his teething... since he showed these signs last time. I have to call the doctor tomorrow if the fever is 100.5 or higher. Oh yeah, he weighs 22 pounds and 8 ozs. Which is not that much different from his 9 mts checkup.. Just pray his fever will be gone tomorrow.
