Fun Family Weekend!!

We had a wonderful Memorial weekend. Gail and I felt like we were on a mini vacation with all the fun activities we did. We kept ourselves very busy everyday. Friday we went to KI with some friends. Nolan loved riding the rides with Emerson and getting to see Henry. Gail loved riding some of the bigger kid rides with Henry. After KI we headed to Gail's brother's house (Matt) where they hosted a great family cookout! Thanks. I of course did not have my camera and of course some really cute things happened. Thanks Shelley, I stole a few pictures from your blog! :) (click on photos and you will see more of the KI pictures,13 KI pictures)

Nolan enjoying his very first s-more. However, it was short lived since Lily, Matt's dog, stole the s'more from Nolan. Nolan was happy to share and did not mind!

Sat. We returned to KI and had another fun day there. We stayed until about 3:30 came home and went swimming at the YMCA Fun!
Sunday: I was able to visit with two old college friends who are both expecting in a few weeks. It was Kim's baby shower, and it was a nice shower! We went out to dinner with our friends the Alma's after church Sunday night and that was a fun time of fellowship.
Monday: Went back to KI again! It was so cool because the park was not that crowed. Nolan was able to ride a lot of rides a few times in a row!!! It was also the perfect weather. Not too hot and not too cold. We even checked out the KI water park. Nolan fell asleep on the lazy inter tube ride. It was so cute. I wish I could of had a picture of that!!!

Father's Day pictures

I took Nolan's pictures again. This time I did it for a gift for Gail for Father's Day... I know Father's day isn't until June 17th, but I could not wait to give him the pictures of Nolan. So Gail got his gift early. Here are some of my favorites... the first 3 I made an 8 1/2 x 10 collage for Gail's Father's day gift.

This is one of my favorites.

Humpty Dumpty!

My Grandmother made Nolan a Humpty Dumpty doll and sent him a book on Humpty Dumpty. Nolan loves this doll. When he first saw it he gave it a big hug and smiled and laughed at it. He carries it around with him and will stop once in awhile to just give it a big hug! It is so cute. Here are some pictures. Thanks G-Ma Queen

Anniversary Sunday

After church today we went back to our former church Grace Baptist in Fairfield Township for their 20th Anniversary ceremony. It was really nice to spend time with old friends. We really miss all of them and it was nice getting to spend time with everyone again. Grace went to a lot of work preparing for their anniversary Sunday. They had a wonderful and delicious luncheon, beautiful singing, and a great message from Guest speaker: Pastor Messer. They also honored Dr. Gail Terrell (Gail's dad and founding Pastor of Grace) with a ceremony and a beautiful plaque that they put in a large stone near a weeping cherry tree that they planted in remembrance of his father. Gail had prepared a video presentation of his father that was very fitting for the occasion and brought back a lot of fond memories. Thank you Grace for a wonderful event and day. We miss you and love you all!!!!
Here are some pictures of the day and the video Gail had prepared:

Family Fun Day!

Last Night our friends Mel and Scott came over and we watched a movie and went out to eat. Jen and Greg also stopped by and stayed to watch the movie too! It was a nice relaxed evening and we really enjoyed spending time with everyone!!!
Here is a picture of Nolan with Scott and Greg and of course snoopy!!

Today was a lot of fun. We arrived to KI around 10:00 am and Gail rode two adult rides by himself while Nolan and I just hung out and waited for him. Then we went to the kid park at KI and let Nolan have fun! He loves seeing Scooby Doo. He gets really excited ever time he sees him. So of course we had to get another picture with him and Scooby Doo

Nolan played on the Tomb Raider ride seat in front of the entrance, while we waited for daddy to get off the ride.

Just call me Mrs. T

So I woke up this morning to a wonderful phone call from Hopewell Elementary School. They called me around 8:30 am and asked me if I would sub for the day. I said sure, since Gail was working from home today, he could watch the little man. It went really well, I taught 6th grade S.S and writing. The day went bye so fast..... plus today almost paid for one of our KI passes!!! :) What was really cool about today was that I met the brother of one of my former students that I taught at Woodland Elementary (3rd grade). How cool is that. Plus when I asked the kid (I recognized the last name) if he had a brother named Kenny he said yes. When I told him who I was he said are you kidding me... My brother still talks about you. He will remember you. You have to write him a note, or he will not believe me. so I did. Cool huh!!!
Even though subbing was fun today... I really missed being home with Nolan. It is so much more fun being a stay at home mommy!!!! However, Gail likes the extra $, so I probably will sub more next year.

Dream Dinners

This new place opened up across the street from our house Dream Dinners. Gail and I got on the website a few days ago to check it out. It is a place that offers different dinner items that you assemble and take home to freeze and cook at your convenience. I set up a session for tonight at 7:30 pm and it only took me a half hour to assemble 3 meals! They have everything you need there, you just follow the recipe and measure out all your ingredients and take it home. They even had a sample of one of their dishes for this month. It was very yummy, unfortunately I did not order that one, so hopefully the 3 meals I did order taste as good as that one did. We are going to try one of the dinners tomorrow night. It is a great concept for people who don't like to cook, or don't have time to prepare meals. However, not for sure if it is cheaper than just buying your own stuff... However, it was fun and nice to get out for awhile and give Nolan and Gail some daddy and son time!!!!

Car windows down and rain do not mix well!!!

I am a dork!!! I left my car windows down last night. I even heard the rain and news cast last night about rain, and I totally forgot that I had put my windows down. Oh well. Gail woke me up at like 6:30 am to tell me this, so off I went with towels in my hands to try and dry up my car seats. Thankfully, it was not that bad!!! :) So it is an early day for me... I decided since the little man is still sleeping that I would get myself ready for the day, and do some house cleaning....

After going to my mom's church for a mother daughter luncheon . Gail and I took Nolan to Kings Island. Gail surprised us with season passes this year. Nolan loved KI. He got really excited when he saw scooby Doo and loved all but one ride that he was able to ride. Here are some pictures of our fun day. We can't wait to go back!!!!

Almas visit the Terrells

Gail, Nolan and I had the Alma family over for dinner tonight. They are a cool couple from our church that have 4 great boys and one baby girl on the way. They are amazing, I have no idea how they do it, all of there kids are 6 and under. Wow, you talk about mother of the year!!! Anyways besides having 5 adorable kids at the house tonight, we had two big kids that decided it would be fun to put on a puppet show for the kids. (check out the video below and some pictures of our fun night) Thanks for spending the evening with us Alma family. We must do it again soon.

Ridiculous 911Call: Lady Wants Burger Done Right!

Gail and I found this on the web: We thought it was pretty funny how dumb some people can be! Hope you get a good laugh too!!!!

Listen to the call

Ridiculous 911 Call: Lady Wants Burger Done Right

September 6, 2006 on 9:56 pm | In Humor, Personal |

The title says it all, here is an emergency dispatch call where a lady argues that the police need to come down and straighten out Burger King. Apparently they were not making the burger she wanted… Wow.

Dispatcher: Sheriff’s department, how can I help you?

Woman: Yeah, I’m over here . . . I’m over here at Burger King right here in San Clemente.*

Dispatcher: Uh-huh.

Woman: Um, no, not San Clemente; I’m sorry, I live in San Clemente. I’m in Laguna Niguel, I think, that’s where I’m at.

Dispatcher: Uh-huh.

Woman: I’m at a drive-through right now.

Dispatcher: Uh-huh.

Woman: I went . . . I ordered my food three times. They’re mopping the floor inside, and I understand they’re busy . . . they’re not even busy, okay, I’ve been the only car here. I asked them four different times to make me a Western Barbeque Burger. Okay, they keep giving me a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, and cheese, onions, and I said, “I’m not leaving . . .”

Dispatcher: Uh-huh.

Woman: I want a Western Burger because I just got my kids from Tae Kwon Do, they’re hungry, I’m on my way home, and I live in San Clemente.

Dispatcher: Uh-huh.

Woman: Okay . . . she said, she gave me another hamburger; it’s wrong. I said four times, I said, “I want it to go. Can you go out and park in front?” I said, “No, I want my hamburger right.” So then the . . . the lady came to the manager. She . . . well whoever she is, she came up and she said, um, she said, um, “Do you want your money back?” And I said, “No, I want my hamburger. My kids are hungry and I have to jump on that toll freeway.” I said, “I am not leaving this spot,” and I said, “I will call the police,” because I want my Western Burger done right! Now is that so hard?

Dispatcher: Okay, what exactly is it you want us to do for you?

Woman: I . . . send an officer down here. I . . . I want them to make me . . .

Dispatcher: Ma’am, we’re not gonna go down there and enforce your Western Bacon Cheeseburger.

Woman: What am I supposed to do?

Dispatcher: This is . . . this is between you and the manager. We’re not gonna go and enforce how to make a hamburger; that’s not a criminal issue. There’s . . . there’s nothing criminal there.

Woman: So I just stand here . . . so I just sit here and [block]?

Dispatcher: You . . . you need to calmly and rationally speak to the manager and figure out what to do between you.

Woman: She did come up, and I said, “Can I please have my Western Burger?” She . . . she said, “I’m not dealing with it,” and she walked away. Because they’re mopping the floor, and it’s also the fact that they don’t want to . . . they don’t want to go through there . . . and . . . and . . .

Dispatcher: Ma’am, then I suggest you get your money back and go somewhere else. This is . . . this is not a criminal issue. We can’t go out there and make them make you a cheeseburger the way you want it.

Woman: Well . . . that is . . . that . . . you’re supposed to be here to protect me.

Dispatcher: Well, what are we protecting you from, a wrong cheeseburger?

Woman: No . . .

Dispatcher: Is this like . . . is this a harmful cheeseburger or something? I don’t understand what you want us to do.

Woman: Just come down here. I’m not . . . I’m not leaving.

Dispatcher: No ma’am, I’m not sending the deputies down there over a cheeseburger. You need to go in there and act like an adult and either get your money back or go home.

Woman: She is not acting like an adult herself! I’m sitting here in my car; I just want them to make my kids a . . . a Western Burger.

Dispatcher: Ma’am, this is what I suggest: I suggest you get your money back from the manager and you go on your way home.

Woman: Okay.

Dispatcher: Okay? Bye-bye.

Wonder park again!

We had a very eventful day today. After watching our nephew play baseball, we went to visit my parents, than came home to put the little man down for a nap. When he woke up we went out to eat at Chili's than headed to Chucky Cheese. However, it was to crowed so we ended up going to Wonder Park again. Only this time we allowed him to ride on some of the rides. He had so much fun. After Wonder Park we stopped and visited Gail's mom for a few minutes, and than came home to watch a movie. The little man got a special gift of getting to stay up until 11:30 pm ... too... Anyways here are some cute pictures of him having fun at wonder park again, and check out the video of him riding the rides. I love how he is sitting in the baby roller coaster with his arms spread out. He even turned around a few times to check out the pretty girls behind him.
