The Aaaaaaaaaa in Nolan

Ok our boy just did something totally amazing. He was sitting next to Gail drinking his milk and he started saying a a a. Gail couldn't figure out why he was saying a since his cup had pirates on it.
So Gail looked at the cup and saw Nolan's name on it. He asked nolan where is the a and sure enough nolan pointed to it. Gail asked him a few more times and nolan pointed right too it.
Then nolan came over and showed me the a.

As cool as that is the story is not over.
Gail took him to bed and changed his diaper, he asked nolan where the a was on his (Gail's) shirt, nolan couldn't figure it out since the A on Gail's shirt was capital.
Gail decided to grab a teddy bear we have that says thank you and asked Nolan to point to the a and sure enough he does. Then to top it all off nolan points to his own shirt that says dinosaur and points to the a in dinasour I KID YOU NOT! :) The kicker is we really haven't worked too much with him on letters. we have the letters on the refrigerator that talk, and he watches sesame street, but that's it. The boy learns FAST!

Our friends Tara and Johnny came over Friday night. We went out to eat and hung out at our house for awhile. It was a fun relaxing evening!!! :) Their little girl Makenna is growing up so fast. She is exactly 9 mts younger than Nolan!!! Nolan could not get enough of her. He kept trying to give her hugs and kisses. We finally let him hold her and he thought that was so cool.. Hopefully he will be this sweet to his little bother or sister.

1st ultra sound

I went to my first ultra sound today. The tec was not on my top 10 list. She scared me with not being very tactful. She gets done taking some pictures and says well I don't see a baby and there is no heart beat. My mom and I just look at each other kind of shoked on how she said it. Then the tec looked at us and said oh its probably because you are so early on in your pregnancy. The only thing we saw was the gestational sac. I was going to ask her a question about something I saw on the screen, but she went to the other side of the room to clean the instrument and ended up spilling some cleaning chemical on my mom, and all over and in my purse. The tec then started to panic and said oh I am so sorry. If any got on you, you have to wash it off immediately. My mom and I started to panic as was the tec. So I asked is my mom going to be ok? The tec replied oh yeah she'll be fine. For my purse and wallet it really smells, and I think I am going to just throw them away. :( Anyways I have another Dr. appt. with my doctor on July 31st. Man last time I was pregnant I had one blood test, got the results, and was sent on my way to a new doctor that delivers babies and had my 1st ultra sound at 8 weeks. We saw Nolan moving around and everything... This time I had to have 3 blood test to check that my levels were rising, and had an ultra sound way too early I think. I have a lot of questions for this doctor..........on The 31st..... Since he is not the one that delivers he better not want to see me anymore after this.... otherwise I am going to just make my own appointment with the Doctor that delivered Nolan......

Oop's we did it again!!!! :)

Nolan's shirt says it all!

Gail, Nolan, and I went around to all the family members on Monday night to show off his new shirt. We also allowed Nolan to wear his new shirt to church on Wed. Night so that he could tell everyone the good news! Gail wanted to write on the back of the shirt: Mommy drank the water at MSBC. (MSBC are our church initials). The joke is that we seem to always have a lot of pregnancies at our church at the same time. When someone gives birth, someone else seems to announce they are expecting. Pretty cool! Right now their is only 3 (counting me) that we know of... HUMMMMM who will be next to drink the water.......:) I am about 6 weeks and I think I am due around March 13th. I have my 1st ultrasound tomorrow to find out a more accurate due date. I am very excited to see the baby. So far my mother in law and sister in law think I am having a girl. I had a dream a few nights ago that I was having twins: boy and girl... We will see.....

Young's Dairy and a $2 meal

Gail and I love this farm called Young's Dairy. At our old church we use to take our teens here every year for an activity. They have a petting zoo, two miniature golf courses, balloon toss game, golf range, batting cages, cut you own Christmas trees, two restaurant (one fast food and the other down home cooking), and of course what they are well known for their ice cream/bakery shop!!! YUMMY!!! We have been here a few times, but have never ate at the home cooking restaurant. We had signed up for their birthday club a few years ago, which sends you coupons for free ice cream. Well this year they sent both of us free meals to the Golden Jersey Inn restaurant, and we had to try it. It was two free Up to $15.00 each meals. So we ended up getting a whole lot of food and only paying $2.02. Now we did not eat all the food, but we thought when do we ever spend $15 on each of us for a meal. The meal started off with homemade sweet potato bread, homemade col slaw, and homemade applesauce. I don't like cole slaw, but it was actually good!!! Gail and I couldn't figure out what type of bread it was, He thought pumpkin, I thought (can't spell it Zuccinna). We were both wrong! Anyways it was a great meal!! My meal came with a free dessert too. It was big enough to split between all 3 of us. Gail got the smothered steak with two sides, and Nolan and I split a meal of buttermilk chicken and a pork chop. I only took one bite of the pork chop. Yummy!!! Decided to take that home and eat the chicken. My meal also came with two sides and a dessert. YUMMY!!! Here are some pictures. OH yeah it takes like an hour to get to Young's dairy from our house, but it is so worth it!!

G-Ma & G-Pa Terrells House

Since we were already in Dayton at Young's Dairy we decided to stop by and see Nolan's Great grandparents. Nolan does not get to see them that much, and we didn't want to miss an opportunity to spend time with them. Nolan was very happy to see them. He even gave kisses and sat on their laps. He was such a ham too! Here are some pictures:

Amber our niece stays over!

Amber spent the night with us last week! Nolan loved having her here! He thought Amber was really cool. We hung out at the house and stayed up watching movies. We then had to wait around the next day for the TV repair man to come. Thankfully he came around 11:00 and we were than off to the YMCA for a swim. Then we headed to McDonald's for some yummy lunch. We than put Nolan down for a nap and we watched some more movies. Hope you had fun Amber.

Or was Nolan teaching Amber!! :) Just kidding Amber!!! :)

A little boy and his dog!

Nolan thinks Lion our dog is a horse! He keeps trying to sit on his back. Lion finally allowed him to do this trick. Now Nolan thinks he can do it all the time. I am think Lion is regretting letting Nolan sit on his back.

A Little Boy and his Box!

Nolan found many uses for this box. One day he turned it upside down and made a piano stool out of it. He sat on it for awhile playing his little upright piano. The next day he thought it would be fun to get inside of it. Here are few pictures.

Fireworks at the Almas

Our Friends the Alma had us over last night with a lot of their other cool friends for a preview of fireworks. I say preview because our church is going over to their house to night for the big show. We had a lot of fun. It was real relaxing and nice to meet some new people. We played corn hole with a twist. Well not really a twist, but we played it girl way. We don't deducted points. Much cooler, faster, and easier!!! (especially for people like me that are math illiterate). Anyways thanks Almas for having us over!!! Here are some cool pictures of the night out.

(Click on each picture and a new one will show)My take a moment to load up!

I'm addicted!

For some reason the past two weeks I have been addicted to this new game I created for myself. Every time I am in the car I look for odd license plates. I have seen a lot more of these creative license plates then I ever imagined that I would. Gail and my mom have got in on the game too. I try to count how many I see every day. The most I have seen in one day is 12. You can't count the license plate again ever if you see it again. They have to be new ones everyday!

Here are a few that I have spotted: Man I have forgot most of what I have seen now! I have to write them down when I see them, otherwise I forget them.. Then again this might cause an accident if I am driving!!! :)

Sharon Woods Playground (AKA orange park)

Well we finally made it over to Sharon Words Park. We tried going early in the year, but the playground was being redone. I must say it is really cool, and it is not even done yet. My friend Marshan has been taking her kids there and they seem to love it. They nickname all the parks by color, so be the reason I put AKA: orange park. Anyways Nolan had a ball there. He had so much fun he cried when we left! We will return to the park another day! Here are a lot of pictures of our day.

where will this lead to?

Hum, I think I will attempt to find out what is on the other side!

This is so cool! Hi Daddy, how did you get over here?

Look at me!

Slide Fun!
