Fantasy Football

Well I finally joined a fantasy football team. Gail has been doing fantasy football for awhile now, and he is on two leagues this year. One of the leagues is from our church. so some of the women of our church decided it would be fun to start a league of our own. We met at one of the ladies homes and had the draft last night. It went well! plus it was fun getting a chance to talk and socialize. Now if you know me I don't know much about sports. I mean I know the basics, but I never really played sports and If you ask or talk about players I have no idea who they are. I do know a few, but I could probably count them on my two hands how many players I know for all sports. :) So this should be interesting! I think it will be a lot of fun, plus maybe I will learn some players and more about football. (Gail would love that seeing it is all time favorite sport!) He has already programmed Nolan to love football. I kid you not the kid wakes up and ask for football almost everyday. I have to find a football show on tv or the computer for him to watch. He gets so excited. When someone falls down or gets tackled he goes Uh oh! He will even say touchdown and put his arms straight up! :) Last night my mom watched him, and there was a football movie on... yelp he sit in his little blue chair intensely watching it my mom said. So If this next baby is a boy I will definitely have to start learning more about football, or else I am going to really be out numbered. Maybe I will be blessed with a girly girl... then again I am sure she will end up liking and probably playing football! :)

Dog Food Yummy!!!

So I took my eyes off my son for like a minute. He goes into the other living room where we keep our dog and his food. Now, needless to say he loves playing with the dog food and feeding it to the dog. But today he decided to try a morsel for himself. I walked in on him putting it in his mouth. I said Yucky... He just looked up at me and chewed it and swallowed. He must of liked it.... Oh well, one morsel won't hurt him, but if he starts to grow a tail and bark like a dog I might start to worry! :)

Indiana Trip!!

My mom, Nolan, and I headed to Indiana on Friday morning to visit my brother, Thomas and his family. We had a great time and Nolan loved having 5 other playmates around. My brothers youngest child Joshua is only 6 mts older than Nolan so they were getting along great! my brother just moved into a new house. Actually they bought Gina's (Thomas's wife) mothers house. Gina and her family grew up in the house and it was only down the street from the house they sold so they could moved some items over just by a short walk! Nice! They have made a lot of renovations on the house and it is looking really good. I know they are happier with a bigger home with more space, but they will be really happy when they have all the renovations complete.

While we were in Indian Two big things happened:

THE SCARE!!!!!
We went out to eat for my sister-in-laws b-day Sunday night after church. Nolan was eating some chips that my mom and I had broke into very very small pieces. However, about after the 4th chip he started gaging and chocking. I tried to get the chip out but it was lodged in his throat. I finally was able to get him to throw it up! I was actually pretty claim during this time, until after he threw up the chip he then threw up blood, and more blood. I took him to the bathroom, where I am now getting really scared...My sister in law comes in and he throws up more blood. we gave him some water and that seemed to help. Then turned him upside down to look into his mouth and saw he had cut the top of his roof and back of his cheek. He was ok, but I can't believe all the blood. I was almost ready to take him to the hospital!!! I have been praying and thanking the Lord all night and all day today for keeping him safe. So needless to say my child will not have another chip until he is 32! :) Maybe I will just put him back on baby food! ;) (Just kidding, but I sure would feel safer!)

Growing up:
First Hair cut! Sniff Sniff!!!! :(
Ok, so I broke down this weekend and allowed my sister-in-law to cut my son's hair. She did a great job. He still has some curls and still looks somewhat babyish to me still. However, when Gail saw him, he liked it, but said it made him look older.. Sniff sniff.... I saved some of his hair to put in his scrap book. He did really well getting his hair cut. Check out the video and pictures below:

I'm stuck!!!!

I woke up this morning to find Nolan saying I'm stuck!!! Poor little guy!!! :( when I walked into his bedroom he had both legs stuck between the rods of his crib. I tried my best to rescue him, but I had to stop and rethink how to pry his legs out from the rods without him getting hurt. I figured it out by lifting up each leg and then pushing them back into the crib. It worked. I got him out of the crib then and he gave me a huge hug and kiss all on his own! I would have got a picture, but I didn't want him to be stuck any longer.

Ultra Sound # 2

Well I went to my ultra sound today! I had the same lady as last time. She was in a really good mood. She said that she still feels really bad about spilling that stuff on my purse. I told her to not worry about it, we all have accidents. NO real harm was done. I told her the worse was that I had to throw my purse and wallet away. She said oh no, I need to replace those for you. I told her no, it was no big deal. Anyways the second ultra sound went really well! :) We saw baby #2 right away and we saw a strong little heart beating away!!! :) Here are the first two pictures of our second baby! :) Not a whole lot to see right now, but it is still really cool!!! :)

Oh yeah, she told me that I was 8 weeks and 4 days. Due date March 16, 2008. Nolan was born on March 21, 2006! I See us celebrating two B-Day's at the same time! :)

I also thought that my first ultra sound with Nolan was at 8 weeks. I was wrong. I looked at his ultra sound pictures today after my ultra sound, and I could see a head and little body.... looked at the date and I was around 12 weeks along when I had my first ultra sound with him. So that would explain why I saw more... It is amazing how much you forget. Thank goodness for scrap booking and journaling important moments.....

The black circle is the Gestation sac.
The white part inside the black circle is the baby.
Can't make out much now, but we could see the little heart beating
on the monitor! :)

Morning Sickness

It was so nice to sleep in today. I woke up at9:00. Yeah!!! Nolan was in a great mood. He had been playing in his crib for about a half hour. It is so cute to listen to him play and laugh. When I walked in his room he started showing off and doing some of his cool dance moods. I got him dressed and changed and went to prepare breakfast today for us. I thought I would eat something different today. French toast and orange juice. Well either that was a mistake or no matter what I had decided was not going to settle with me. I went to go get ready for the day and right when I walked into the bathroom... the toilet became my best friend. Nolan walks in while I am in the middle of my throwing up breakfast to only stand at the door and mimic me. Every time I got sick he would make the same noise and bend over like he was throwing up! It was kinda of funny. I would have probably laughed, but I was in no position to laugh. It is weired because I never felt sick or nausea. I had no real warning and felt fine. I only got sick like 5 times with Nolan and that was in the middle of my pregnancy. So having morning sickness this early and feeling more blah and more heartburn than with Nolan. Only had heartburn at the end of that pregnancy and it was not that bad. Still can't complain, so far I have been feeling pretty good, just more tired than when I was expecting the first time. However, that might have to do with keeping up with a very active 1 year old! :) Tomorrow I have my 2nd ultrasound@ Yeah! I should hear the heartbeat and see a baby. I will post tomorrow about the ultrasound. I am going back to the same lady that spilled all that stuff on my purse. :( oh well!

Grocery Shopping Adventure...

Gail and I have been trying to manage our monthly budget a lot better lately. He took the finance class at church by Gary Niederlehner, and has suddenly been obsessed to listening to Dave Ramsey who is a really cool Christian finance guy on the radio.Well today Gail and I went to walmart and did our grocery shopping today. We spent $91.69,before tax. Later tonight we thought hey let's go see what these same items cost at kroger. So off we went. Gail predicted that krogers would be about $10 more.
I was not sure I thought kroger would be a little more but $10 hmm. Well after running around checking off our walmart receipt, Gail was adding everything up on the calculator. The final total for Kroger was $101.34. We were having so much fun comparing prices,
that I suggested going to Biggs to compare prices now! Biggs came to
$98.70, Cheaper than Kroger but still not as cheap as walmart!! So it was good to confirm what we had thought all along, and especially since we have been doing the majority of our grocery shopping at wal-mart for close to 3 years. I will say this though kroger and biggs do have better produce than walmart, other than that though walmart compares favorably.
Here is the article the enquirer did sunday, but they only did 10 items we did 41
