Nolan took his first bubble bath. He loved it a lot. He kept trying to eat the bubbles.

Fall Festival

Today Gail, Nolan and I went to the fall festival at Keener Park. It was pretty cool, but Nolan was still too young to enjoy most of the events. However, his favorite parts were the free cotton candy, candy, small free toys, and petting the animals. Here are a few pictures of the day.

Free Friday Fun!!!

Ok so my free spree actually started yesterday. I had a coupon for $10.00 to spend at RERuns for Wee runs on route four. I ended up spending it on a outfit for Nolan that was under 10 dollars so I got it for free! Yeah!! Later that night we went to use a coupon at Max and Erma's for buy one dinner get one free!!!
Then I remember today that I had two free chick fil sandwich coupons. So after our dr. appt. we stopped by there and had a free lunch. Than since we were out I told Gail I had a coupon for a free Hot wheels car from Toys R Us. I told him we did not have to purchase anything to get a free car. So off to Toys R us we went. Nolan had a blast riding on the bikes, cars, and playing with some display toys. So that was some free fun along with a free hot wheel police car. Now we are home and Nolan has been put down for an afternoon nap. I am thinking of taking one myself. All this free fun has really wore me out.

Doctor appt.

So today I went to my doctor's appointment and we were there for like an hour and half. Apparently, they did not have me down for an appointment even though I made it last month. Anyways, I still got in, but had to wait a little longer. Than they took blood and listen for the baby's heartbeat. I kid you not I started to panic when he could not find the baby's heartbeat. It took like 5 minutes to find this kids heartbeat. I could even see the doctor's face starting to worry. I was really praying hard and thank goodness God heard my prayers. We finally got a strong heartbeat. The doctor said that the babies try to escape the sound of the heart monitor. They don't like it and some babies make it harder to find the heartbeat than others. This kid did it to me last time too, but at least last time we could hear the heartbeat for a few seconds and then we were off chasing him/her to find it so we could hear it longer than a few seconds. Anyways I am scheduled for an ultrasound on Monday Oct. 29. So hopefully he/she will corporate and we will finally be able to put a name to the baby.

Abbott and Costello on computers!

You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this. For those of us who sometimes get flustered by our computers, please read on...

If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their infamous sketch, "Who's on First?" might have turned out something like this:

COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT

ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?

COSTELLO: Thanks. I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.

ABBOTT: Mac?

COSTELLO: No, the name's Lou.

ABBOTT: Your computer?

COSTELLO: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one.

ABBOTT: Mac?

COSTELLO: I told you, my name's Lou.

ABBOTT: What about Windows?

COSTELLO: Why? Will it get stuffy in here?

ABBOTT: Do you want a computer with Windows?

COSTELLO: I don't know. What will I see when I look at the windows?

ABBOTT: Wallpaper.

COSTELLO: Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software.

ABBOTT: Software for Windows?

COSTELLO: No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What do you have?

ABBOTT: Office.

COSTELLO: Yeah, for my office. Can you recommend anything?

ABBOTT: I just did.

COSTELLO: You just did what?

ABBOTT: Recommend something.

COSTELLO: You recommended something?

ABBOTT: Yes.

COSTELLO: For my office?

ABBOTT: Yes.

COSTELLO: OK, what did you recommend for my office?

ABBOTT: Office.

COSTELLO: Yes, for my office!

ABBOTT: I recommend Office with Windows.

COSTELLO: I already have an office with windows! OK, let's just say I'm sitting at my computer and I want to type a proposal. What do I need?

ABBOTT: Word.

COSTELLO: What word?

ABBOTT: Word in Office.

COSTELLO: The only word in office is office.

ABBOTT: The Word in Office for Windows.

COSTELLO: Which word in office for windows?

ABBOTT: The Word you get when you click the blue "W".

COSTELLO: I'm going to click your blue "w" if you don't start with some straight answers. What about financial bookkeeping? You have anything I can track my money with?

ABBOTT: Money.

COSTELLO: That's right. What do you have?

ABBOTT: Money.

COSTELLO: I need money to track my money?

ABBOTT: It comes bundled with your computer.

COSTELLO: What's bundled with my computer?

ABBOTT: Money.

COSTELLO: Money comes with my computer?

ABBOTT: Yes. No extra charge.

COSTELLO: I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much?

ABBOTT: One copy.

COSTELLO: Isn't it illegal to copy money?

ABBOTT: Microsoft gave us a license to copy Money.

COSTELLO: They can give you a license to copy money?

ABBOTT: Why not? THEY OWN IT!

(A few days later)

ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?

COSTELLO: How do I turn my computer off?

ABBOTT: Click on "START".............

Car Accident

Today has been a very interesting day so far. I am a little shook up, but God was really watching over me today. Gail took my car in today to have the breaks fixed and oil change. When he got home to watch Nolan (because we only have one car seat). I took off in his old car to do some garage saling. My neighborhood was having a neighborhood garage sale and I thought cool! Well ended up not being so cool. I get to the last road of sales. (DEAd end road) Cars were parked everywhere and a white pick up truck and I were trying to turn around. Well the truck was unable to make the turn do to the cars parked everywhere, and I was right behind him. He backed right into me. I screamed I did not have much time to react to what happened so I screamed. No one was hurt. but man seeing a truck back up into your car, on your side and don't know if they are going to stop is an experience I never want to have again! thank you Lord for watching over me!
Anyways I called Gail to tell him. I said I just got hit and he said are you ok where are you... I said I am find but the car is a little damaged. He said Car... Man I thought you were hit. He did not know I drove the car.. even though I told him I was taking it when I left! ;) Oh well He loves me and cares about me at least more than his car! :)

Nolan makes Peach Cobbler

Last night Gail asked if I would make peach cobbler. I said sure. As I started to make it Nolan kept wanting me to pick him up so he could watch. I decided to pull up a chair and let him stand on it beside me and help make the cobbler. Here is him helping. (click on pictures to enlarge them)

Starts off good helping mommy stir the peaches
and sugar together!

Then decides he has to test his
creation! Yummy!!! :)

Pictures from my dad's b-day

We had my dad over on Monday to celebrate his b-day. Wow the big 62 years old and still looks young! :) We had a great time cooking out eating and just relaxing. Matt came over later that night too to watch the Bengals be crushed.
Nolan helping G-pa Hon open his gifts!

Nolan giving Uncle Matt a big smile.
He is hoping this will convince Matt
to share is Taco Bells with him!

Two shoes

I get home from subbing today to find Gail sitting on the couch getting ready to play his PS3 game. As he goes to take off his shoes he realizes that he had been wearing two completely different black shoes. He wore them all day at work! ;) I would have got a picture, but I was too busy laughing and trying to get settled from work today.

Also thanks mom for watching Nolan today. I tell you I have the best mom. NOt only is she a great babysitter, but she cleaned my house. I am telling you she did all my laundry, even put the clothes away. Washed dishes, reorganized my closet, and went grocery shopping with me when I got home. Wow thanks! (My house wasn't that bad, but it sure is super now!)
