My mom found this little boat for $2.00 at a garage sale last summer. I thought it would make for a great photo. However, Nolan was not in the mood to cooperate today. So I only got a few decent shots. Here are a few of him and his boat. (click on each picture if you want to see them bigger)

I love his face in this one.Went and saw my Ob yesterday. Everything is looking good still. I am measuring right at 32 weeks. Only 8 more weeks to go!!! :)
Nolan loved hearing the baby's heartbeat. He was trying to talk to the doctor after listening to the heartbeat. He just kept saying "Doctor, doctor" and pointing to his belly. We finally figured out he wanted the doctor to use his machine on his belly. The doctor did and Nolan got the biggest kick out of listening to his belly talk to him.

Nolan slept in his new room and big boy bed yesterday. This is him taking his first nap in his new bed. He also slept in it that night for the first time. NO more crib for the big boy!!! :) 
Last night after church we came home and ate dinner and made some cookies. Nolan decides that he needs to go potty. So Gail takes him to the bathroom and well he does nothing. He just wanted his very little wet diaper off. So Nolan comes running out of the bathroom with nothing on and I said I will put a new diaper on him and get him ready for bed in a few minutes. Well a minute later Gail goes to see what Nolan is doing he had ran back to the bathroom to pee. He did his little business right by the toilet. So I guess he was trying to use the toilet. Maybe if I just dig a hole in the floor in the bathroom we might get him potty trained! :) We haven't really tried to train yet, but I think after his 2nd B-day we might try harder. We will see......He has an interest for the toilet , but so far has on pooped once in there because I knew he was trying to go and sat him on the toilet. However, so far he has only peed on the floor by the toilet 3 times. oh well it makes for a cute story..
I am calling him a sponge because he has really been absorbing a lot of knowledge lately. He is also a sponge because he likes to copy and do what we do a lot!!! We let Nolan watch two shows A LOT: Word World 
and Super Why. 
These two shows can be found on any PBS channels and teach sounds and letters in a fun way.
We watch them with him and interact with him during the shows. Well we started noticing a few months ago that he was recognizing certain letters. We go out to eat or at a store and all of a sudden he would point and say a letter, and sure enough he was right. Gail and I started to work with him on a magnetic drawing board with his letters. We were shocked how many letters he recognized just by watching these two shows. He can now recognize almost all the capital letters. He still has trouble with Q. He thinks it is an O. We have been trying to work with numbers now. He can count to 2 with no problem, knows 3 comes next but likes you to say it and then will say 4. Well tonight we came home from eating out and all of sudden he sits down at his little desk and all by himself counts to 5. I just stood there and looked dumbfounded. I could not believe he counted to 5 all on his own. Of course he would not do it again and got confused when I was saying numbers with him. It is truly amazing how fast your children grow up and how fast they learn things. It just seems like yesterday I was holding him for the first time and could not even imagine him saying his first word. Now in a few short weeks I will have another child to look after and I hope and pray that both will Know God and want to study his word. I could care less about grades and careers as long as they know God and serve him. That is truly the most important thing in life the rest will fall into place.
I can't believe that this Sunday I will be in my 30th week of my pregnancy! Yeah!!! Had a doctor appointment today.... Everything looking good still! :)
I really can't complain much about this pregnancy. It has been smooth so far. Thank you Lord. This preganancy has been different from my first a little. I have gotten sick a lot more. Nolan I was only sick 5 times. Smells really get to me. Worst I have trouble sleeping. Not only do I have trouble sleeping, but I get restless leg and arm syndrome. I can't hold still and it drives me crazy. I would rather throw up and feel better. This drags on and on. Poor Gail went back to work this week and I have been getting up early like 5:00/5:30 because I can't hold still. I having trouble even blogging right now!!! OH and the heartburn with this pregnancy!!! :( Tums is like my best friend right now!!!
Ok I am done venting.
On Christmas day my cousin in-law Jenny surprised us with some great news. She had all the girl cousins stand together for pictures. After picture taking she grab my arm and said I have a picture to show you, well I screamed with excitement and everyone comes looking. She is about 2 months pregnant. Yeah! I was so hoping that her and I would one day be pregnant together and we are!!! :) Congrats Jenny and Greg.
Yesterday we spent the day as a family and ran some errands and walked around the mall for awhile. Gail and I were both wanting something sweet, but not for sure what. So when we got home he decided to take his car to get gas so he did not have to do it on his way back to work tomorrow. He ended up bringing back a yummy strawberry dessert and roses for me! How sweet. Later that night we were all settled to watch some TV or a movie when my mom dropped by to give Nolan a cute desk. Nolan got in his mind that he was going bye bye with grandma somehow, and was determined to go home with her. (maybe he just wanted mommy and daddy to have some alone time, how thoughtful of him!) :) Anyways he spent the night at my parents house and had a blast. Gail and I took advantage of this time and had a date night. We went to Dave and Busters and split dinner and played some games. Came home and played a game, which I won, and then headed off to bed early since he had to go back to work today! :( It was a nice way to spend New Year's day/night.
Just wanted to say Happy New Year to everyone. I wish you all a wonderful 2008!!! I can't believe that it is 2008 already and we have another baby boy on the way in about 2 months!!! Yeah!!!! :)
