Young's Dairy and a $2 meal

Gail and I love this farm called Young's Dairy. At our old church we use to take our teens here every year for an activity. They have a petting zoo, two miniature golf courses, balloon toss game, golf range, batting cages, cut you own Christmas trees, two restaurant (one fast food and the other down home cooking), and of course what they are well known for their ice cream/bakery shop!!! YUMMY!!! We have been here a few times, but have never ate at the home cooking restaurant. We had signed up for their birthday club a few years ago, which sends you coupons for free ice cream. Well this year they sent both of us free meals to the Golden Jersey Inn restaurant, and we had to try it. It was two free Up to $15.00 each meals. So we ended up getting a whole lot of food and only paying $2.02. Now we did not eat all the food, but we thought when do we ever spend $15 on each of us for a meal. The meal started off with homemade sweet potato bread, homemade col slaw, and homemade applesauce. I don't like cole slaw, but it was actually good!!! Gail and I couldn't figure out what type of bread it was, He thought pumpkin, I thought (can't spell it Zuccinna). We were both wrong! Anyways it was a great meal!! My meal came with a free dessert too. It was big enough to split between all 3 of us. Gail got the smothered steak with two sides, and Nolan and I split a meal of buttermilk chicken and a pork chop. I only took one bite of the pork chop. Yummy!!! Decided to take that home and eat the chicken. My meal also came with two sides and a dessert. YUMMY!!! Here are some pictures. OH yeah it takes like an hour to get to Young's dairy from our house, but it is so worth it!!
